Government backs greater competition in building supplies to reduce costs for Kiwis
Following the Commerce Commission's report on the building supplies market, the Government is to take action to increase competition in this sector and reduce costs. The report indicates quantity-forcing rebates and incentives favouring familiar building products being the two key factors negatively impacting competition.
